Payment

We use 128bit SSL to secure communications during the checkout process. Your credit card information is processed by the PayPal API and is not stored locally on our servers. You may checkout through the form on our website, or use the PayPal checkout option to submit the payment through PayPal. Please note that you do not need to have a PayPal account in order to proceed through checkout, even by using the PayPal checkout option. Accepted credit cards are VISA, MasterCard, or American Express.

For payment by bank or wire transfer, the amount transferred must be equal to the amount requested. Amounts transferred less than the requested amount must be supplemented with the difference, which will be requested. Amounts transferred greater than the requested amount will not be refunded, nor will be carried as future purchase credit.

All orders will be subject to verification checks and validation. Ordinarily, we complete this process quickly and independently. To protect our customers from potential fraud purchases, orders that arouse suspicion will be subject to additional processing time.

 

 
Price Matching

We offer price matching to a same unit in same condition and same marketplace location by the same brand. Contact us with a matching listing before your purchase so that we may offer you a price match. Additionally, we may honor an after-sale price match for up to 14 days after an item's original sale as we would a price match before a sale. Limited-time offer specials may not qualify for after-sale price matching.

 

 
Sales Tax

Canadian orders will be subject to sales tax based on region. For delivery in provinces with HST, your order will be subject to HST for the province it is being delivered to. For delivery in provinces without HST, your order will instead be subject to GST.

US orders shipping to an address within the state of California will be subject to 8% sales tax. If this order is exempt from sales tax in California, please contact us before the purchase is made. All other regions in the United States will not be subject to sales tax.

International orders will be subject to customs and import fees upon the delivery of your order, depending on your country’s import procedures. We will be unable to honor requests to misdeclare or mislabel shipments.

 

 
Shipping

All orders that we ship will be performed by a courier, and will require a physical shipping address for delivery. We are unable to deliver to PO boxes, as well as APO or FPO addresses for this reason.

We offer free standard shipping for the contiguous, non-remote regions of United States and Canada for orders exceeding $75 before tax or shipping. Two day and next day shipping options are available, and can be determined using the shipping cost estimator.

Shipments performed to non-contiguous regions of the United States (such as Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico) or remote regions of Canada (such as Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut) will require air shipping methods, either two day or next day service depending on region. Free shipping cannot be extended to such regions.

All Canadian orders, regardless of if you pay in USD or CAD, will be shipped from Kitchener, ON.

Orders shipping outside of the United States or Canada will be subject to international shipping rates depending on destination country. Please use the shipping cost estimator on our site to determine shipping cost, or contact us if you have difficulties using the utility on the site. The import handling fees, taxes, customs duties will be charged upon delivery by the courier if applicable

 

 
Return/Refund At United Scope – MicroscopeNet.com, our goal is to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If for whatever reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you can ask to return it to United Scope within 30 calendar days of receiving the item(s) (subject to the rules and policies set forth below), at which time we’ll gladly exchange it for another item or give you a refund for the full amount of the original purchase price (excluding shipping charges), whichever you prefer.

Please inspect your purchase carefully. Claims for damaged/missing items must be received within three (3) business days of receipt of merchandise.

Returning items:
  • No returns will be accepted without an RMA #. You may call 1-800-672-7101 or email info@microscopenet.com to obtain an RMA #.
  • All returned or exchanged items must be in new condition, in their original box, and include all packing material and accessories.
  • If item received is DOA (dead on arrival) and the claim is made within 3 days after the item is received, we will provide a return shipping label (or reimburse the return shipping cost at our discretion) for an exchange only. All the exchange items will be shipped by standard shipping, regardless of the original order shipping method. For all international orders (outside USA and Canada), the import handling fees, taxes, and customs duties are NOT covered. After the first three days of receiving the item, defective items may be repaired or exchanged at our discretion for the same or equivalent model only.
  • In all cases for return for refund, it is the buyer's responsibility to return the item at their expense.
  • Please follow the return instructions carefully and clearly mark the return as instructed by the return instructions. Customers will be responsible for any incurred cost due to failure to follow the return instructions provided.
No Returns/Exchanges on:
  • Open packages of slides or cover slips.
  • Partially used consumables such as lens cleaning paper, immersion oil, cleaning kit.
  • Bulbs and fuses.
If any of the above conditions are not met, United Scope reserves the right to refuse the return or charge a restocking fee no less than 10%, at our sole discretion. Any request that is received after the 30 day return window will be treated as warranty maintenance only, and will be subject to the warranty terms. Refund requests received after the 30 day return window will not be accepted. United Scope is not responsible for personal data or items left in returned merchandise.

Refunds will be credited to the same payment method that the purchase was made.

 

 

Warranty

After the return period has ended, any and all issues that may arise are treated as warranty issues and are subject to warranty procedures. Please contact us by email or phone with your order number so that we may assist you with any issues.

All microscopes will come with a five (5) year warranty protecting the microscope from manufacturer defects. The warranty will cover parts and labor at our facility, but will not cover any shipping costs that may be incurred. We will attempt to determine the cause of the problem with you through troubleshooting, and will minimize any shipping that will need to occur.

All microscope accessories (including, but not limited to: USB cameras, illuminators, stands) are subject to a one (1) year warranty protecting the parts from manufacturer defects. The warranty will otherwise follow the same procedure as with microscopes.

Products other than microscopes and microscope accessories will also include a one (1) year warranty protecting the parts from manufacturer defects, similar to microscope accessories.

Consumables, such as bulbs or slides, will not be subject to any warranty.

Unless instructed to by a customer service representative or technician, all parts covered under warranty should not be tampered with. Unauthorized breaching of closed components may be cause to void the warranty on your device. Irreversible modifications to a microscope or accessory may also be cause to void the warranty on the device.

 

 
Repair Outside Warranty

After the warranty period has ended, we will still provide technical support and troubleshooting for our products. A part may be returned for repair at our discretion. In this event, the buyer is responsible for the shipping costs as well as parts and labor performed at our facility. When a part is received for repair outside warranty, the part is first inspected and is determined whether or not a repair can be completed. If a repair can be performed, we will provide you with a cost to repair as well as its return shipping cost. If a part cannot be repaired, we may recommend a replacement, and we will provide a return shipping cost if the part is requested to be returned (there will be no charge for the inspection).
